Albany Science College (also known as Albany High School) is located on the south side of Chorley, Lancashire.
The school was originally opened as St. Alban's and was built on the former Yarrow House next to the river of the same name. The former house was the birthplace and childhood home of Titantic first mate Charles Lightoller. This has been commenerated by a blue plaque on the school gates and the renaming of the school's canteen to Lightollers.
New head teacher started on Tuesday 6th September 2011 and is called J. Heyes
